SHAH FARMS is an owned business traditional incorporated in 1977 by Chairman of Shah Farm's Syed Zafar Hassan Shah. It was started by purchased of semi un-cultivated land near Hub dam, Karachi . Initially cattle and vegetables were farmed.
In 1984, Director Syed Asim Zafar Shah (Apiculturist) acquired Master of Science in Apiculture from Queens Land Agriculture University Australia started bee keeping business in modernized way. Shah Farm bee keeping system is situated in the heart of Kirthar National park , which is one of the rare parks in the world, at distance of 30km at Hub dam near Karachi City , most versatile area for the honeybee process of all over the year. Farm is well-developed orchard sprawling, over 100 Acres surrounded by Kirthar Hills and Hub Dam. It has a large collection of honeybees, an indigenous variety of shrubs and trees, variety of animals including of peacocks, a crocodiles breeding area in the neighborhood of Shah Farms.
SHAH FARMS has been organized in corporate style to meet the international constraint. It is only project in Pakistan , which work is in organized way in the field of honeybee keeping.
SHAH FARMS also deal in training and consultation programs for illiterate, ordinary working style bee keepers and non-organized bee farmers, which are producing the honey less than their capacity and do not know the new techniques, equipments, Food safety System and Hazard Analysis and Critical Control Program (HACCP).
